Terms of service

Plain terms for using Drop Radar and buying Pro or a pass.

1. Who we are

Drop Radar (dropradar.co.uk) is a trading name of POLICYANDPLAY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17253846). Registered office: 7 Cosford Drive, Shortstown, Bedford MK42 0DQ, United Kingdom. Email: hello@dropradar.co.uk. ICO reg. ZC165321. We are not VAT registered.

2. What we sell

Drop Radar tracks stock and prices of toys and collectables at UK shops and emails you when something comes back in stock. Alerts are free (a weekly digest). Paid access, called Pro, adds the shop's listing link, a link that puts the item in the shop's basket, faster alerts, rare-only and price-drop alerts, and Drop Mode. You buy from us only access to Drop Radar. You buy the toys from the shops, and the shop's own terms apply to that purchase. We do not take payment for them.

3. Prices and payment

We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. The price shown is the total you pay. We add no fees. Stripe takes the payment on our behalf. Prices are in pounds sterling.

4. How the contract is formed

When you press the button on the checkout page we show you the order, then you pay on Stripe's page. Our contract with you starts when Stripe confirms your payment and we send you our confirmation email. Until then we have not accepted your order. We may refuse or cancel an order if there is an obvious pricing error or suspected fraud, and will refund you in full if we do.

5. Delivery of the service

Access starts straight away once payment is confirmed. Sign in with the email address you paid with. Pro is a digital service. Alerts depend on shops' public listings. We check shops about every five minutes, so an alert can arrive after an item has sold out again. We do not promise that you will get an item, that a listing is accurate, or that a shop will not change or cancel your order.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You have a 14-day right to cancel, and how it works for digital services and passes is explained on our cancellation and refunds page. That page forms part of these terms.

7. Subscriptions

8. Using Drop Radar

Use the site fairly. Do not scrape it at volume, try to get round paid features, share a sign-in link, resell our data, or interfere with the service. We may suspend access for serious misuse and will tell you why.

9. Our content

The site, its design, mascots, wording and our compiled stock history belong to POLICYANDPLAY LTD or are used under licence. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Product names, pictures and trade marks belong to their owners. Drop Radar is independent and not affiliated with Schylling, Bigjigs Toys, Pop Mart or any retailer.

10. Advice

Stock, price and "rare" information is a guide from public listings, not a guarantee, and not financial advice. Always check the shop's own page before you buy. Our views on fakes are general advice, not a legal finding about any seller.

11. Our responsibility to you

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. If we do not, tell us and we will put it right, or give you a price reduction or refund as the law requires. We are not liable for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, for business losses, or for a shop's actions (for example, stock selling out or an order being cancelled). Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change that affects your subscription we will email you before it applies. Continued use alone is not how we get your agreement to a material change to something you have paid for.

13. Complaints and disputes

If something is wrong, email hello@dropradar.co.uk and we will reply within 5 working days. Your personal data rights are in our privacy notice.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
